KIRKE 400
KIRKE mechanical siren, (by the manufacturer also called Akustické sigbalizační zařízení typu KIRKE, Acoustic signalization device - type KIRKE) sometimes also called KIRKÉ, is an 8 port mechanical siren, which is known to be very rare in Czechia. The siren looks similiar to the DS977 siren from VEM, but can be recognized by the specific look of the motor, usually red-painted rotor and a slightly higher pitched tone than the DS977.
It has three variants in total - KIRKE 40, KIRKE 40A and KIRKE 400. The KIRKE 40 and 40A variants are most likely lighter variants intendent specifically for FP (fire protection). The difference between them is a slightly taller motor on the A version and phasing. The 40A model is designed for single-phase electric power only, while the 40 variant is designed for three-phaze only. The KIRKE 400 model is purely intended for civil defense, and is significantly heavier and larger than the first two variants. It can run on three-phase power only.
As mentioned above, this siren is very rare on field, and there are only 26 sirens remaining in the whole country, and are being decommissioned fast.
